Russian River Canoe Trip - 2012

Santa Clara, CA - Pretty much every year since before I can remember with any accuracy, we've been kicking of the summer with our Annual Russian River Canoe Trip. This year was no different. I can't begin to tell you how much fun it is to gather up such a great group of friends as these. Take the river, add in a bit of hot weather, a couple of kegs, and a whole bunch of canoes and this wonderfully diverse group of fun and interesting people just show up. Amazing!

This year the weather was perfect, and we didn't even have to move the date to July! There were 46 people canoeing, 3 people kayaking, and about 55 people at the BBQ.

There were a few notable absences this year. Mike and Christy however, had the best excuse, with the birth of their son, Nolan, one week before the trip. Congratulations guys! Nat, Beener, Teri, Sanjay... I know you all had good excuses, but we missed you guys and hope you can make it back next year!

This was the first year in a long time that I have brought a little waterproof camera down the river so I actually have a few of my own pics to post this time. However, I still love to check out photo from friends. I've poached a few for this blog and the slideshow, I just hope I've got all the photo credits somewhat correct.
